dacadoo wins big at MongoDB awards

We’ve been the recipients of not only one, but two MongoDB awards, including the overall winner for ‘Innovator of the Year 2020’.

MongoDB, with headquarters in New York, is the leading, general-purpose database platform, which we love using here at dacadoo. It’s particularly beneficial to us as it enables seamless automation, horizontal scaling, flexible documents and end-to-end security – amongst many other valuable features – which are crucial for our product development and maintenance. In the words of our Backend team: “MongoDB gives us the flexibility we need to innovate in an ever-changing market.”

The MongoDB Awards aim to honor projects and people who dream big, as well as to “celebrate the groundbreaking use of data to build compelling applications, and the creativity of professionals expanding the limits of technology.” As they recently held their annual Innovation Awards ceremony on June 10th, we were ecstatic to be proclaimed winners in the ‘Data for Good’ category in addition to the overall ‘Innovator of the Year’ champion. We were proud to be standing next to other worthy winners such as Google Cloud, Nationwide and Toyota, to name a few.

“We are thrilled to honor dacadoo with not one but two MongoDB Innovation awards,” said Dev Ittycheria, CEO of MongoDB. “The company’s Health Score Engagement Platform represents a major innovation in healthcare, helping people make informed decisions about the risk factors that contribute to chronic diseases like cancer, diabetes and heart disease. They are just getting started with MongoDB and I can’t wait to see what they do next.”

As you know, here at dacadoo, our main focus has always been to create a system that not only matches, but exceeds both yours -our customers’- and your end-users’ expectations; with the ultimate goal of motivating people around the globe to implement healthier lifestyles.

Upon receiving the awards, Peter Ohnemus, our President and CEO said: “We are humbled to win the 2020 MongoDB Innovator of the Year Award and the Data for Good Award. It really means a lot to me and the whole dacadoo team that our hard work is recognized by an organization that we regard so highly.”

It is so gratifying to have our hard work recognized and we are truly so proud of how the dacadoo system has developed over the years – with many more updates  to come!
