dacadoo Digital Health Engagement Platform improves Physical Activity levels through their Wearable Device Program

For the past 4 years, dacadoo has been a sponsor for HLTH where we exhibit our digital health solutions. As a healthcare technology company, the foundation and core of dacadoo’s suite of products is the patented health score, a number from 0-1000 that reflects the current status of an individual’s health, and the Digital Health Engagement Platform (DHEP), a mobile first solution that leverages behavioral science, AI, and gamification to help end users improve their health and wellbeing, while helping clients improve customer engagement and loyalty through personalization.

Part of dacadoo’s participation at HLTH includes presenting novel services or products that have been introduced in the past year, and this year dacadoo shares the benefits found when Users engage in the Apple Watch® Reward program that is available with the dacadoo Digital Health Engagement Platform.

An engagement analysis conducted by dacadoo demonstrated that users who have a connected wearable device average a 30% higher activity rate than users without wearables [dacadoo, 2023]. Moreover, the retention level of these users after 12 months was shown to be 36% higher than users without wearables. As such, promoting the use of wearable devices is strongly encouraged for our clients looking to boost engagement of their platforms powered by dacadoo technology. To empower our clients in promoting the use of wearables, we have developed an innovative offering that lets end-users work towards reducing payments for an Apple Watch® through use of the DHEP. The program is simple, users Get an Apple Watch®, Get Active, and Get Rewarded.

This reward program can either work as an acquisition tool to attract new customers or as a retention solution to maintain existing customers in an engaged 12-24 or 36-months program. There are 3 main use cases for this program. Firstly, customers who wish to get a new Apple Watch® can receive a device through the DHEP program directly and then begin to leverage their physical activity towards the device monthly payment by accumulating points on the platform which tracks numerous activities. Secondly, customers who already have an Apple Watch® can connect their device and earn rewards towards other reward offerings. Finally, customers who do not have a wearable but have an Apple iPhone can accumulate points through closing the Activity Rings and earn rewards through the program. In all cases, dacadoo’s DHEP will keep track of the points balance and continuously calculate the contribution of the program participants. Along with a longstanding partnership with Apple, this program makes use of the extensive suite of partnerships dacadoo has established with fulfilment partners that will handle the logistical aspects regarding shipment of devices, financing, and support & contractual agreements.

In addition to the Apple Watch® offering, dacadoo has released several other platform updates. For example, the latest DHEP update has released a package of 35 content articles available in 16 languages in the categories of activity, physical health, mental wellbeing, nutrition, self-control, and mindfulness. These are available to existing clients effective immediately. Additionally, a new DHEP program called Promotions enables platform providers to create full-screen popups that act as announcements for topics of interest (such as deals, promotions, etc.) on the platform. Users are provided with the details of the Promotion and a link which they can use to participate in the deal if they are interested.
