This revolutionary, science-based methodology enables the automatic scoring of shopping baskets based on their health properties and their correlation to survival. Designed to simplify nutrition tracking and improve dietary habits, the GBS™ is available as a standalone solution or as a component of the globally recognized dacadoo Health Score® via API.

dacadoo has already partnered with leading retailers worldwide, leveraging its expertise in digital wellness solutions to provide value-driven insights that enhance customer engagement and loyalty. The launch of the GBS™ aligns with dacadoo’s commitment to helping retailers empower their customers with personalized nutrition insights and actionable health guidance.

The GBS™ assesses the nutritional quality of all foods and beverages purchased during a shopping period of at least one month. By utilizing models based on nutritional densities, the methodology offers a comprehensive picture of dietary patterns. These densities—such as calories from sugar divided by total calories—provide a robust analysis, accounting for uncertainties like consumption frequency and the number of people sharing the basket. The semi-quantitative approach ensures relevance even when only a portion of food intake comes from the analyzed retailer.
